AutoHaus Car Meet: Trunk or Treat Rain Out Edition

Soooooooooo, maybe the weather forecast this past Sunday wasn’t the most conducive to a car meet. And yeah, maybe the rain wasn’t part of our trunk or treat festivities.

But we didn’t let that stop us from having a good time and enjoying some delightful treats from Jeremiah’s. Let’s talk about it!

First up we have the:

1. Turbo Tarantula

2. the Web Zlinger

3. Charlotte’s Web 370, or…

4. the Itsy Bitsy Speedster

You pick the name. I’ve done enough.

Definitely one of my early favorites for most imaginative, using the car’s brake lights as spider eyes and the car’s body for …. well …. the spider’s body.

Spider-Man was in attendance too! But he was probably too young to be the real Spider-Man, but one can dream, can’t they? 

Once Upon an Audi, an exquisite Magic Wagon, crowned the Avant Ever After hauled the most precious of cargo available in Central Florida, the Disney princesses!

This Tiara Transport came loaded with enough dreams, candy, and horsepower to make the clock strike midnight early. And while this Glitzmobile was not the only one in attendance, it was the only one who could deliver a glass slipper in a few seconds’ time.

Alright enough magic talk, yes…..we got rained on! We had a good time. Next time we’ll keep an eye on the weather forecast and plan accordingly.

Hopefully there’s still candy involved!

HSR Classic 24 @ Daytona International Speedway

Alright, hear me out. It’s not about the nostalgia for old cars. The HSR Classic 24 at Daytona really is something that has to be experienced in person because seeing Le Mans prototypes in person is not something I can put into words. The sheer size of the race wings (if they have one), chonky race tires, and more. What’s not to love?

I don’t care about the era. I care about the thought and time spent by race engineers building these masterpieces akin to the work of a horologist (that’s a clockmaker, for the uninitiated).

For the event itself, expect timed sessions for each separate “class” that each racing legend will be categorized under. This goes on for 24 hours. It’s about the endurance aspect and not so much about breaking land speed records or stuff like that.

Sofas & Suds Couch Racing on Nov. 23rd!

Sanford’s most legendary race is back! Sofas & Suds 2025 returns Sunday, November 23rd from 2 - 6 PM, right in front of Celery City Craft in Historic Downtown Sanford.

Watch local businesses (but really just us because we’re the best and you love us) go wheel-to-wheel with rolling couches—vying for glory and the coveted Champions Trophy.

Best news? IT’S FREE TO ATTEND!

Okay, actual best news? The Audi North Orlando team has won the last few times we’ve competed so the expectations are epic!

We got the boys practicing and cutting weight (that’s a joke — this ain’t the State Finals) to make sure every bit of effort goes into pushing a couch fast around downtown Sanford.

We expect a couch-load of fun that weekend, so have your cameras out and get ready to see some unbelievable performances on the couch. VIP tickets are available for extra amenities, but once again: it’s Free to Attend for Everyone!
